I was out today at the antique mall where I sell @ I was out today at the antique mall where I sell @williamstonantiquemall and thought I'd take a few pictures of my booth. I don't know why I always forget to do that. So I am proud of me for remembering 🤦‍♀️Every time I wander the mall, my head is always spinning and I am rubbernecking to find that next good thing. Today I ended up buying a few pieces of vintage Christmas...a styrofoam Santa, a few Santa mugs, and some ornaments. I can't believe that it will be time to drag everything out soon!Is anyone else kind of excited about decorating for Christmas yet? I don't know what it is. Maybe it's because every time we have an election year, things are so stressful and I just want to climb back in my bubble and think of happy things, like Christmas!Pretty soon, once Halloween passes, I will fill my booth with all things Christmas. Right now, I'm still leaning into the fall vibes and dark colors. The mall where I sell only allows legit antiques and vintage, no reproductions or new stuff. But after Oct. 31, we can have newer Christmas items, so that works.If you are in Michigan (or wherever you are) this is your reminder to hit up your local antique place. It's all about the thrill of the hunt!

My friend Malia will occasionally share her ah-mazing caramel brownies with me (no cannabis included) and it's always the highlight of my year.So if you're not sure if your friends would like herb butter, then it might be time for some new friends 😂 just teasing. I'm back after a long break, and I am turning the I'm back after a long break, and I am turning the page on September.Frankly, the last 6 months have been interesting and I just needed a bit of time to settle into myself. After the loss of my Mom, then our beloved dog, we just took the summer to soak up all the fun of visiting the cottage, living in the moment, and taking care of business.So although you haven't seen me here, I have been busying myself with the (chalk and clay) paint side of my business, the blog, buying and selling vintage, and working with clients to make their design dreams come true. Being creative is pretty much oxygen for me (when you know, you know) and I have been so grateful to have this "work" in my life.You know when someone once said how important it is to "love what you do, and you will never work a day in your life" and I can tell y'all, it's true. Most of my work has felt like play to me and I am happy to stay busy. It kind of keeps me out of trouble. Well, sometimes. 😜I'm now looking forward to this last quarter of the year, with the changing seasons and the holidays coming quickly. I hope you will join me here, share your thoughts, and soak up any inspiration that sparks you into doing something fun. Tell me, what fuels your fire? 🔥 I can't wait to hear...it's good to be back.

I’ve been a bit distracted the past few weeks tr I’ve been a bit distracted the past few weeks trying to nurse this little fur baby back to health.After removing his spleen, along with a mass the size of my fist🤦🏻‍♀️he is finally feeling better. He is playing and eating, and enjoying life again.It’s been a good reminder to me to listen to your body, when it tells you it doesn’t feel good. Now time to schedule all those regular checkups for myself that I have been putting off🙄It’s okay to officially start the new year on February 1, isn’t it? Asking for a friend.😊
