Bungalow 47™ Clear Primer is an American-made primer that is ideal for blocking stains, bleeding tannins, and other problems associated with painting vintage furniture. It offers improved adhesion, is low-odor and low VOC, and dries clear so wood tones can still be seen through distressing if desired. When dry, it remains tacky to the touch.
Description
Prep: Begin by removing all dust and debris from your vintage find. Wash your piece thoroughly with warm soapy water, a degreasing solutions, or a 50/50 water and vinegar mix.
Application: Stir Clear Primer thoroughly before and occasionally during use. Apply using a brush, making sure to work it into the surface and covering all areas. Allow the primer to dry 1-2 hours before applying a second coat or beginning painting.
Optional: If stubborn stains persist after treating furniture with Clear Primer and Furniture Paint, spot treat the area with another coat or two of Clear Primer. Allow to dry and continue painting as needed.
Estimated Coverage: Covers approximately 100 square feet.
Estimated Dry/Cure Time: Depending on your climate, the product will dry to the touch within 1-2 hours. However, the product remains tacky when dry.
Clean Up: Clean up and spills and spatters, along with your painting tools, using warm soapy water.
