Introducing SHABBY CHIC® by Rachel Ashwell Chalk and Clay Paint

We are so excited to announce that, coming next week, our chalk and clay paint will be partnering with SHABBY CHIC® by Rachel Ashwell! This paint is the same paint formula that we now carry in our Bungalow 47 house brand, but in 10 new beautiful SHABBY CHIC® signature colors.

Shabby Chic® Paint - 10 Gorgeous Colors!

The Same Tried + True Product

The paint is the same amazing chalk and clay product Bungalow 47 is known for. It is easy to paint and distress and create those shabby, imperfect finishes we all love. The paint can easily be manipulated to create a crusty finish to mimic painted furniture patina.

Shabby Chic® by Rachel Ashwell Chalk and Clay Paint

As many of you know, we offer paint in both SHABBY CHIC® Paint and Junk Gypsy™ Paint private label brands. Rachel is an amazing and inspiring woman, and we feel so blessed to be able to bring this wonderful paint to market.

Rachel Ashwell and Shabby Chic

For 25 years, the name Rachel Ashwell has been synonymous with SHABBY CHIC®. The SHABBY CHIC® brand, based on the aesthetics of beauty, comfort, and function, marries great design with casual ease. British-born Rachel Ashwell is a self-made business woman who founded the iconic brand known as SHABBY CHIC® in 1989 when, as a single mother of two young children, she looked to open a small shop where she could sell pretty things without spending much time or distance away from her children.  Read more about Rachel here.

Pastel Colors

The pastel colors are similar to soft shades carried in the current Bungalow 47 Furniture Paint line. For Rachel’s private label, these shades were curated into an easy to follow pastel color chart.

UPDATE 2019: this line has been retired. Similar pastel shades can be found in the Bungalow 47 Furniture Paint line.

However, Rachel Ashwell has chosen these colors to coordinate with her palette and design aesthetic so they will look gorgeous side by side any of her Shabby Chic® Couture or Simply Shabby Chic® line for Target®.
